County Market

Max Dollars for Education

County Market 's annual Max Dollars for Education Fund is now underway.  Customers designate the school/group of their choice, then scan their Max Card every time they shop to have their shopping totals added to their group's tally. In January, County Market will calculate each school's share of a $50,000 fund that has already been set aside for area schools.   This program is free and will not affect personal Max Rewards.   The H.O.U.S.E. group money goes to the general H.O.U.S.E. fund.  Registration must be renewed each year, so even if you signed up last year, you must designate H.O.U.S.E. for your Max Card again.  If you shop at County Market and you'd like to participate, please register at your local County Market.  Our group number is 7429.  If you don't have a Max Card, you can register instantly at any County Market Customer Service counter.   Anyone, including friends and family, may register with the H.O.U.S.E. group number.

Home School Martial Arts Class

HMD Academy of Taekwondo

1701 Woodfield Drive

Savoy, IL 61874

352-3939

http://www.hmdacademy.com/info.html

A noon taekwondo class is available to home school families at HMD on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12 to 1pm.    Home school students may attend class free for up to four weeks before deciding whether or not to sign up.   The instructor is owner Master Namsoo Hyong, a seventh degree black belt who has run the academy for 26 years.   His program is non-competitive and stresses self-discipline, respect and personal development.   This class is open to all ranks.   Interested students (and parents!) are welcome to stop in and try it out – just dress in loose-fitting clothes and be prepared to learn some basic moves.   An article about Master Hyong and his schools is available at http://www.illinimedia.com/di/news/1001
